Continental Empires Returns to Development

Good news for fans of giant 18XX games! Mark Frazier has announced that development of 18C2C: Continental Empires is back on track after a long hiatus.

The project is moving forward at a deliberately slow pace, with a tentative production target set for 2030. Extensive playtesting is planned over the coming years, with live sessions expected at gaming conventions and with dedicated playtest groups.

According to Frazier, Continental Empires aims to be an unapologetically massive, operations-focused 18XX title featuring systems not seen in any previous game in the genre. The design emphasizes running strong companies and making meaningful decisions on the map, while reducing stock market shenanigans during the early game.

For fans of sprawling, ambitious railway games, this is certainly one to keep an eye on over the next few years.
