We are thrilled to announce the arrival of a new tray designed specifically for “Railways of the Lost Atlas”! This game features the largest track tiles ever created, which previously did not fit any of our existing trays. After several months of development, we are excited to bring this new tray to life, and it will be produced this week.
Preorder Phase Now Open!
The trays are expected to be ready by mid-July (possibly earlier). During this initial release phase, you can preorder them at a 25% discount. After this promotional period, the trays will be available at a 20% discount until the end of July.
Optimized Design for Railways of the Lost Atlas
We are currently awaiting our copy of the game to test the fit within the game box. According to the manufacturer, Asterisk Games, removing the money from the game box allows up to four of these trays to fit with minimal or no lid lift.
We also anticipate that other trays from our range, designed for smaller items like tokens or cards, may fit inside the game box. However, these configurations will need to be tested once we receive the game.

More Details
This tray features the largest compartments among all our offerings. In the same footprint as our standard trays, we have accommodated 15 large compartments. Their size is ideal for storing track tiles from the 18xx game Railways of the Lost Atlas, but they can also perfectly store games with numerous counters where is limited space in the game box!
13mm Counters
For the smallest 13mm counters, you can fit 16 at the bottom of each compartment in this tray, totaling 16 * 15 = 240 counters. Additionally, there is room to stack 5 layers of them, resulting in a total of 1200 counters in one tray. In comparison, our standard low tray holds 9 counters per compartment, which totals 9 * 20 = 180 counters. With space for only 4 layers of counters, you can fit a total of 720 counters in the entire tray.
16mm Counters
A similar calculation applies to 16mm counters. You can fit 135 counters in one layer at the bottom of this new tray (compared to 120 counters in our 20-compartment tray). Therefore, the math is: 135 * 5 = 675 counters in the new tray versus only 480 in the old tray.
Large Counters
This tray might also be very efficient for games with larger counters, such as “Storm Above the Reich.” We will try to provide more detailed counts soon.
What is the cutoff date for 25% sale? I’d like to order only after you tested the set with actual game but don’t want to miss the discount
The date is July 15. But the game will be delivered to us in the middle of August probably 🙁
The 25% discount is available until June 15; thereafter, a 20% discount will apply until the end of the month.
Really looking forward to seeing how you fit everything in the box. I’ve got about an inch of lid lift with the four trays and all of the components crammed inside. I’ve also been playing around with the tiles and can’t come up with an organization plan that I really like (there aren’t enough spaces without doubling or tripling up some of the tiles). And the sticker sheet has a sticker for a green gentle curve that not only doesn’t exist in this game, doesn’t appear to exist in any 18XX game.
