News from All-Aboard Games

A few days ago two new games appeared on the market: 18Chesapeake and 1761.
Both are sold as prototypes. This is a completely new form of sale offered by AAG. We can read on their website that they are produced in the same way as other titles, but the final version may contain some changes in relation to the current one. They do not contain instructions that are only available online. Such versions will be able to be updated in the future to the final version by the buyers themselves. All materials will be made available to them, but they will have to do it themselves.
As we read later, this form of sales is aimed at estimating whether it is possible to produce certain new titles on a large scale, then the price of such titles will be lower (Scott wrote only about 18Chesapeake in this regard).

For us, this is a fantastic message. With such production, games can be cheaper, which at least will compensate a little for the cost of bringing them from the US. We also have the slightest hope that if AAG decides to take this step, it may appear to European distributors. We keep our fingers crossed for that.

Those who are impatient can now buy new games. Is it worth it? I think both titles are worth recommending.

18Chesapeake is a title about which some people say they can dethrone 1889 as an introductory game in the world of 18xx.

1761 is a title that tells the story from before the birth of the railways. In this game, we start with companies that operate on channel connections. During the game, players can run railway companies, first small 5 stock companies, which can be transformed into 10-stock companies after reaching the target place. The game ends after a certain stock exchange price has been reached by one of the companies. And I think this is a title for advanced players.

As the article was being written, Scott (the owner of AAG) announced that he would finish subscribing to the above games. I suppose, therefore, that the target number of people (testers) has already been reached. We are waiting for their response and the first reports from the games. These people, except that they will be able to play a novelty, will also have an impact on the final appearance of these games, e.g. mechanics corrections (if any will prove necessary).

Another novelty that appeared on the AAG website is a list of games that are on publishing plans. They currently look like this:
1822+ (Simon Cutforth) Release June 2018
1822 Medium Scenario Kit (Board Only and/or Full Game) Release Q3-Q4 2018
1822CA (Robert Lecuyer and Simon Cutforth) Release Q4 2018
18Chesapeake (Scott Petersen) Q1-Q2 2019
1761 (Ian Wilson) Release Q1-Q2 2019
Rolling Stock Stars (available now on rollingstock.net as Rolling Stock v2) Release Q4 2018
1871 (Fred Campbell) External playtesting Q3 2018 or later
1848: The Golden Spike (tentative) Release Q1-Q2 2019 (tentative)

I have the impression that my wallet may not survive this 馃槈

Nowe tytu艂y od All-Aboard Games
Kilka dni temu pojawi艂y si臋 w sprzeda偶y dwie nowe gry: 18Chesapeake i 1761.
Takie wersje b臋d膮 mog艂y by膰 w przysz艂o艣ci zaktualizowane do wersji ostatecznej przez samych kupuj膮cych.

Mamy te偶 cich膮 nadziej臋, 偶e je艣li AAG zdecyduje si臋 na ten krok, to by膰 mo偶e pojawi膮 si臋 one u europejskich dystrybutor贸w. Gor膮co trzymamy za to kciuki.

Ci natomiast, kt贸rzy s膮 niecierpliwi, mog膮 ju偶 teraz zakupi膰 nowe gry. Czy warto? My艣l臋 偶e oba tytu艂y s膮 warte polecenia.

1761 jest tytu艂em kt贸ry opowiada histori臋 jeszcze sprzed narodzin kolejnictwa. Dopiero podczas gry, gracze mog膮 uruchamia膰 firmy kolejowe, najpierw ma艂e 5 akcyjne, kt贸re mog膮 zosta膰 przekszta艂cone w firmy 10 akcyjne, po osi膮gni臋ciu docelowego miejsca. Gra ko艅czy si臋 po osi膮gni臋ciu okreslonej ceny gie艂dowej przez jedn膮 ze sp贸艂ek. My艣l臋 偶e jest to tytu艂 dla zaawansowanych graczy.

Wygl膮daj膮 one aktualnie tak:
1822+ (Simon Cutforth) Release June 2018
1822 Medium Scenario Kit (Board Only and/or Full Game) Release Q3-Q4 2018
1822CA (Robert Lecuyer and Simon Cutforth) Release Q4 2018
18Chesapeake (Scott Petersen) Q1-Q2 2019
1761 (Ian Wilson) Release Q1-Q2 2019
Rolling Stock Stars (available now on rollingstock.net as Rolling Stock v2) Release Q4 2018
1871 (Fred Campbell) External playtesting Q3 2018 or later
1848: The Golden Spike (tentative) Release Q1-Q2 2019 (tentative)

Mam wra偶enie 偶e m贸j portfel mo偶e tego nie prze偶y膰 馃槈
